Things to Do

Welcome To North Wildwood

Welcome to North Wildwood. The white, sandy, free beaches, gentle surf, fun-filled boardwalk amusement rides, bike path along the beach, and some of the best saltwater fishing on the east coast, are just a few of the activities that bring people back year after year. North Wildwood is also known for its historic background including the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse. Built in 1874, this quaint Victorian structure is considered one of the most attractive and unusual lighthouses in New Jersey. North Wildwood is home to the Seawall, a concrete pathway along the inlet and beach – a popular place for residents and visitors to enjoy gorgeous ocean views. North Wildwood offers accommodations to suit every need, fine dining, exciting nightlife, and events for the whole family throughout the year can be found throughout this clean, friendly city.

The Food & Drinks

From freshly caught seafood and gourmet dining to casual boardwalk fare, the Wildwood’s have options for every budget and taste. You’ll find a number of waterfront restaurants, eateries along the boardwalk, and must-try stops throughout the island.

The Beach

No beach tags required on the 5 Mile stretch of white sandy beaches, named ‘Best Beaches in New Jersey’ by USA Today. That’s right, The Wildwoods Beaches are absolutely free! North Wildwood beaches are where the surfers flock to catch some waves, hot dog carts are parked out front of the beach paths, and beach goers can grab a bite or beverage at the iconic entertainment district just steps from the inlet.

The Boardwalk

The Wildwoods award winning Boardwalk is the center of fun and excitement. Stretching around 2 miles, the famous boardwalk is home to three amusement piers, two waterparks, plenty of games, shops, eateries, and entertainment. Day or night, there is always something to do on this seaside, carnival-like atmosphere.

The Amusement Piers

With over 100 rides and attractions, it’s no wonder our amusement piers are the number one on the East Coast. From roller coasters, to thrill rides, to family rides, to kiddie rides, our Pier’s have it all. You’re sure to have a blast at either of our two incredible oceanfront water parks on those hot summer days. Our amusement piers are packed with games, shopping, arcades, great food, and fun for the whole family!

The Attractions

You may think the beach, boardwalk, and amusement piers get all the attention, but keep in mind the island is packed with all types of attractions.
