At the southernmost tip of New Jersey’s Cape May Peninsula is the city of Cape May. Cape May is the oldest seaside resort in America with historical roots dating back to the 18th century. The entire city was designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1976. Cape May is the jewel of New Jersey, from its pristine beaches to its ornate Victorian Bed and Breakfast Inns, this city is always at the top of the “Best of” list in the country. It’s known for its grand Victorian architecture such as the Emlen Physick Estate, now a museum with a preserved interior from the era. Fine dining and unique shopping are found from one end of the city to the other. The oceanfront Cape May Convention Center, located on the promenade, hosts a variety of events for children and adults. This year-round state of the art facility is the hub of activities for family entertainment. Cape May has been a premiere getaway for generations and many are lucky enough to call it home!
